• Celebrate Recovery for Women led by Nina Robson will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at Hephzibah House, 721 E. Fourth St. N in Newton.

• NAMI of Jasper County will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Skiff Medical Center south board room, 204 N. Fourth Ave. E. in Newton. Jody Eaton, Central Point of Coordination for Jasper County, and Jasper County Supervisor Joe Brock will talk at this meeting about the regionalization of the mental health system in Iowa.

• Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.

• The Newton High School Music Department will present its Fall Festival of Music at 7 p.m. Monday at the Center for Performance in Newton. Prior to the concert, the Newton Music Boosters will hold a chili supper fundraiser beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

• Newton Rotary will meet at noon Tuesday at DMACC Newton Campus upstairs banquet room in Newton. The program will be presented by State Trooper Doug Cutts. • A Career and College Planning Night for high school sophomores, juniors and their parents will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at DMACC Newton Campus, Room 210A. The event is free and open to the public.

• Newton Noon Kiwanis to meet will meet at noon Wednesday at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N., for lunch and a program titled "Stories From Russia" by Gary Parsons.
