Collins-Maxwell/Baxter’s Mark Deutsch and Colin Thomson ran career-best times Thursday night at the South Hamilton cross country meet.
Deutsch placed 5th in 16:56 while Thomson finished 11th in 17:27.
CMB’s boys scored 137 points and placed fourth out of 13 teams at the meet, which was won by Class 3A No. 1 Gilbert with 42 points.
Winter Brown led CMB’s girls by placing 21st with a time of 17:07. Anna Jones (18:12), Whitney Spencer (18:50) and Veronica Condon (19:01) all ran their fastest times of the season.
The Raider girls placed seventh out of 12 teams with 186 points. Gilbert also won the girls team title.
