Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge will host a special ranger-led hike from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the refuge in Prairie City.
For the hike, participants will search for birds on the prairie. Early fall is the perfect time to view a variety of bird species as they prepare for their migration south or stop over briefly during their long journey.
In case of bad weather, the program will still occur but staff will adapt the program to more appropriately fit the conditions. Bird enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
