MORAVIA — Colfax-Mingo freshman Delaney Underwood claimed third place at Monday’s Class 1A Region 3A, securing a slot in the 1A Region 3 Final.
Underwood shot a 102 on the The Preserve golf course at Lake Rathbun. Sigourney’s Stacy Moher and Kendall Streigle were meet medalist and runner-up medalist with scores of 90 and 97, respectively.
The top five individuals and top two teams advance to the regional final, which is May 23 at Knoll Ridge Golf Course in North English.
Sigourney won the team title with a 411 and host Moravia finished second with a 466.
Lynnville-Sully’s Hawks came in with a third-place 517 followed by Colfax-Mingo’s 609.
Lynnville-Sully freshman Tessa Van Maanen ended up 11th with a 117. Juniors Ida Byggeth and Kristine Jaenette finished 13th and 14th with scores of 125 and 126.
The final team scoring individual for the tournament was junior Kaylee Van Maanen with a 149, which was 18th.
Also playing for Lynnville-Sully were junior Mikayla Smith and freshman Kayla Van Dyke with scores of 158 and 164.
Freshman Camilla Schlosser was Colfax-Mingo’s second-lowest score with a 137 for 16th.
Tigerhawk junior Skye Weber shot a 182 and freshman Jasmine Riley carded a 187.
