Mosher, Underwood lead C-M golfers at Sigourney

SIGOURNEY — Colfax-Mingo senior Mason Mosher and freshman Delaney Underwood led the Colfax-Mingo golf teams in the season opener at Sigourney on Monday evening.

Mosher shot a 41 and was the boys’ meet medalist, while the Tigerhawks placed second in the three-team field. Sigourney won the meet with a 191, Colfax-Mingo shot a 202 and Keota carded a 209 in third.

Underwood shot a 49 to earn the runner-up medalist in the girls standings. There were no team standings kept in the girls meet. Junior Skye Weber was the only other Tigerhawk girls golfer to play in the tourney, and she shot a 73.

After Mosher were seniors Jacob Buehrer, Zevin Lander and Jake Jeter. Buehrer shot a 52, Lander finished with a 53 and Jeter turned in a 56.

Freshman Ahren Teed had a non-counting score of 57, and sophomore Jonathan Jacobs finished with a 66.

The Tigerhawks travel to HLV on Thursday before heading to BGM on Monday.
