Raider boys win, girls lose against North Polk

ALLEMAN — Collins-Maxwell/Baxter’s boys keep on the winning track. The Raiders beat host North Polk 56-43 Tuesday in Heart of Iowa Conference play.

The Raider girls dropped a 66-29 decision to North Polk. North Polk was up 40-14 by halftime.

Abbie Haupert and Lexi Breon each scored seven points for CMB. Haupert pulled down 10 rebounds and had three assists. The CMB girls are 4-14 overall.

Megan Murphy led North Polk with 24 points and Miranda Murphy had 13.

CMB’s boys improved to 13-3 overall with their seventh win in a row. It sets up tonight’s showdown with Prairie City-Monroe in Monroe. Both the Raiders and the Mustangs are 10-3 in HOIC play. South Hamilton is 12-2 atop the conference standings.

On Tuesday, the Raider boys were led to victory by Seth Balke’s 18 points. Austin Moorman added 13.
