DES MOINES (AP) — The Saturday traffic crash toll has risen to eight with the death of a 62-year-old Des Moines man who’d been driving his motorcycle with his wife.

The Des Moines Register reported Everett Faux died at a Des Moines hospital on Monday. He and his wife, Laura, on Saturday were riding back to Des Moines after a vacation in Branson, Mo., when he lost control of his motorcycle on Interstate 35 in Warren County.

The Iowa State Patrol says Laura Faux died at the scene. Everett Faux was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Authorities say at least six other people died after traffic accidents elsewhere in Iowa on Saturday.
