The Newton Police Department is seeking citizens interested in attending the upcoming Citizen Police Academy.
Sessions are from 6 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday from Sept. 17 to Dec. 3. The course covers different areas of the department and gives participants hands-on training. Each session includes an evening meal, and a graduation celebration is held at the end of the program.
