Man wielding two knives charged with assault
Dwayne Richard Frosch, 43, of Newton was charged Tuesday with fifth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree kidnapping (Class B felony) and domestic abuse assault (aggravated misdemeanor) in connection with an altercation with his girlfriend.
On June 8 at 10:43 a.m., police were dispatched to the victim’s workplace. The victim, who was Frosch’s girlfriend, stated she had returned home at 2 a.m. that day and found her apartment in disarray. Her boyfriend then appeared, carrying a butcher knife with a seven-inch blade, a steak knife under his arm and two containers of alcohol.
According to court documents, he placed the knives down and requested her phone. Later, Frosch broke the phone in half and said, “Now you can’t call nobody.”
