Combined Vacation Bible School planned for First Lutheran, United Presbyterian, First Presbyterian

First Lutheran Church, United Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church are joining forces to offer Vacation Bible School from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday, June 24-28, for preschool through fifth-grade students.

Each day’s activities will begin and end at First Lutheran Church. With the help of older youth and adults, attendees will walk to First Presbyterian for snacks and United Presbyterian for plays featuring people from the Bible. Research confirms that today’s kids are wired to learn by doing. Each day, children move through activity stations with their Kingdom Crews (small groups of up to five children and one teenage or adult leader). Every station is intentionally-designed to reinforce the daily Bible Point in a hands-on, interactive way that keeps everyone engaged.

Registration is appreciated and can be done at any of the church offices, although no children will be turned away the first day. To registration or to ask questions, call First Lutheran at (641) 792-3934, United Presbyterian at (641) 792-4158 or First Presbyterian at (641) 792-2790 or members of the committee, Robyn Friedman at (641) 840-2215, Deb Zieman at (641) 831-3406 or Mickey Van Baale at (641) 521-0549.
