As of Monday, the following recreation areas at Lake Red Rock are closed: Whitebreast Beach, South Overlook Boat Ramp and a portion of the Volksweg Trail near Marina Cove.

Additionally, bacteria sampling at the North Overlook Beach continues to show elevated bacterial counts. The beach will have a “Swimming Not Recommended” sign posted until further testing indicates low bacteria counts. Test results from the main body of the lake had extremely low bacterial counts.

All other recreation areas around the lake and below the Red Rock Dam are open at this time. For the most current lake level, dam outflow and forecast information, visit www.rivergauges.com.
