The sendoff for the final Jasper County Freedom Flight will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday beginning at the Iowa Speedway.

Motorcycles will begin lining up at noon at the speedway. Once the procession begins, it will make its way down First Avenue to East Fourth Street, where it will head south toward Newton Senior High School.

“A sendoff ceremony will be held, beginning at 2 p.m.,” event organizer Doug Bishop said. “Local residents are encouraged to line the route and show their support for the men and women being honored.”

The Patriot Guard riders and Legion Riders will lead the motorcycle escort. All motorcyclists are invited to participate in the escort. The sendoff ceremony is open to the public.
