Volunteers carry the repaired and freshly painted windmill head to the metal windmill to be connected.  D&D Pump, Inc out of Pella prepared the metal stand of the windmill and raised the windmill in place. The Jasper County Historical Museum raised their windmill on Wednesday after a prolonged stay on its side while repairs were made.  This effort corresponds with the “Winderfull Tales” grant the museum received from Silos and Smokestacks and partial matching funds from the Jasper County Community Foundation last year.   An additional wooden windmill is in the Agriculture Building on exhibit as part of the Winderfull Tales project that will show the wind energy story in Jasper County.
