Juanita M. Comstock

Juanita M. Comstock, 80, of Gallatin, Missouri, died on Monday, April 15, 2013, at her home.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service with a lunch at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.

Juanita, the daughter of William L. and Dorthea A. (Johnson) Morris, was born on March 4, 1933, in New Sharon, Iowa. She grew up in New Sharon and Newton, Iowa. Juanita was united in marriage with William Comstock on Dec. 23, 1951, in Newton. She worked at Perryman Pharmacy in Newton and was also a housewife. Juanita was a past member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed sewing, reading, and playing cards with family and friends.

Those left to honor Juanita’s memory are her husband, William Comstock of Gallatin; children, Mike (Deena) Comstock of Nacogdoches, Texas, Steve Comstock of Fort Smith, Ark., Randy Comstock of Gallatin and Cheryl (Larry) Braaksma of Pella, Iowa; nine grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrell (Sherry) Oliver of Des Moines, Iowa and James (Karen) Oliver of Utah; her sister, Marilyn (Merlin) Farver of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Craig Comstock; and a grandson in infancy.
