Community Easter Egg Hunt set for Saturday

The Newton YMCA and Hy-Vee of Newton are hosting the annual community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. 

The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10 a.m. at the Y, 1701 S. Eighth Ave. E.

More than 5,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes will be hidden on the Y game fields. The event is free and open to children infants to fourth grade students.

The Easter Bunny will be hopping in for a visit with children. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring cameras for photos.
