First Newton National donates food, $1,000 to Salvation Army

The First Newton National Bank donated food and a check for $1,000 to the Newton Salvation Army Food Pantry on Thursday. Each year, the bank participates in the food drive that helps local families during the holidays. The Salvation Army gives out 230 Thanksgiving food baskets, 230 Christmas baskets and any remaining donations will go toward baskets for following months.
