WILLIAMSBURG — Aliviah Ross scored four goals, Sophia Coady was involved in five of the Cardinals’ six goals and the Newton girls soccer team shut out Williamsburg, 6-0, on Friday.
The Cardinals scored three goals in each half and have now won three straight matches. They also are unbeaten in their last five contests.

Ross’ four goals brings her season total to 11 and she dished out one assist, too.
Coady scored two goals and handed out three assists. She now has 11 goals and a team-best nine assists this spring.
Newton (6-4-1) put 15 of its 23 shots on goal. Addy Cibula made five saves and now has 85 for the season.
The Cardinals’ last four wins have resulted in shutouts. Newton has surrendered only two goals in its past six matches.
Williamsburg (2-7) was shut out for the sixth time this spring.
