CONRAD — The Colfax-Mingo boys track and field team was short-handed on Thursday. But that didn’t stop the Tigerhawks from scoring seven top-three finishes and finishing in the top five of the Comet Early Bird Invitational on Thursday.

Colfax-Mingo entered the meet after its home meet got canceled on Tuesday. That’s why some of their athletes had other obligations and were not available.

But the Tigerhawks finished second in two relays and posted season-best times in three of them.
