Lynnville-Sully’s Kate Harthoorn became the school’s all-time leader in made 3-pointers this season.
She also tied for sixth in Class 1A with 67 made 3s this winter and finished fifth with a 3-point percentage of 39.
Shooting 75 percent from the free-throw line also helped Harthoorn score a third team all-state honor from the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association, which released its all-state squads to the public Tuesday at 12:01 a.m.

It also contributed to a second all-state honor as Harthoorn was named to the 1A all-state second team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association on Monday.
Harthoorn finalized her junior season with a 1A Region 8 selection, which was awarded by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association.
Cedar Rapids Xavier’s Libby Fandel was named Miss Iowa Basketball by IPSWA, too.
Fandel led the Saints to the 4A state championship after averaging 26 points and 10.5 rebounds per game this season. Fandel, who will attend Kansas University, finished her career with 1,995 points.
Harthoorn led the Hawks in points and assists per game at 12.5 and 2.5, respectively. She also averaged 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest. Her 75 percent shooting from the foul line ranked 13th in 1A.
Harthoorn, who will begin her final season with 766 career points, helped the Hawks finish 18-6 and reach the regional championship game.
The IPSWA all-state teams include eight players on the first team, eight on the second and eight more on the third.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck’s Kennedy Brant was a first-team selection, Montezuma’s Ellen Cook and Baxter’s Emie Tuhn were second-team picks and Sigourney’s Brynn Clarahan joined Harthoorn on the third team.
Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont’s Ava Eastlick was a first team all-state selection in 2A, while teammate Molly Shafer earned second-team recognition.

The IBCA tabbed Shafer as the first-teamer and voted Eastlick to the second team. North Mahaska’s Breckyn Schilling also was a second-team selection by the IBCA.
Brant was a first-team all-state selection by the IBCA, too. Harthoorn and Cook both were on the second team and Sigourney’s Josephine Moore scored third-team recognition.
The 1A Region 8 squad featured eight players, including Gladbrook-Reinbeck’s Brant and Elly Sieh, Baxter’s Tuhn and Kamdyn Krampe, BCLUW’s Grace Farnsworth and Martensdale-St. Marys’ Ellie Baker and Rylie Fugate.
