BROOKLYN — Jett Kramer and Kimball Elliott both were 3-0 with two pins, but the Lynnville-Sully wresting team managed just one dual win at a quadrangular hosted by BGM on Thursday.
The Hawks were 3-0 in contested matches against the host Bears and won 39-30 on the scoreboard. L-S also lost 54-18 to Sigourney/Keota and 63-12 to the Southeast Polk junior varsity.
The contested wins against BGM came from Burt Johnson (138), Wyatt Mathis (165) and Kramer, who won by technical fall, pin and major decision, respectively.
Elliott (126), Matthew Mintle (132), Chase Deal (190) and Ben Squires (285) all accepted forfeits to edge the Bears.
The Hawks were 3-4 in contested matches and 0-5 in forfeits against Sigourney/Keota. Elliott, Mintle and Kramer all won by fall at 126, 132 and 113, respectively.
Kramer (20-3) and Elliott (15-1) won by fall against the Southeast Polk JV. Mintle (21-3) lost 9-8 in his match. The Hawks were 2-5 in contested matches and gave up all six forfeits.
