Lynnville-Sully senior C.J. Nikkel, center, signed with Simpson College's football program recently. Nikkel chose Simpson over Coe College. "I really like the coaches," Nikkel said. "I have gone to a whole bunch of Simpson camps before so I already know the area. It’s close to home, too." Nikkel said he was recruited to play somewhere on the defensive side of the ball. "Probably safety," Nikkel said. "I just want to play somewhere on the back end. I like to hit." Nikkel said he plans to major in business management. He will begin Simpson's summer workout program when his final high school baseball season ends. "They have a program set up for me, but I'm going to wait until the season is over, which we hope is a while away yet," Nikkel said. (Submitted Photo)
