SULLY — Lannon Montgomery belted his first career home run, 12 players had at least one hit and scored one run and 11 tallied at least one RBI and the Lynnville-Sully baseball team cruised past Melcher-Dallas during the Class 1A District 11 quarterfinals on Monday.
The 1A No. 4 Hawks needed three at-bats to score 22 runs and the hosts cranked out 19 hits in the 22-1 postseason win.
Lynnville-Sully led 5-0 after one inning, scored 13 in the second and finished off the four-inning win with four runs in the third. The 22 runs were a season-high and the Saints retired at 2-18.
The quarterfinal doubleheader in Sully was scheduled for Saturday but was postponed to Monday due to rainy weather.
The Hawks, who have won six in a row, will next face Southeast Warren (14-10) in the district semifinals at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Sully.

The Warhawks advanced following their 6-3 victory over Martensdale-St. Marys. L-S shut out Southeast Warren, 5-0, back on June 8.
Carson Maston and Reese Dunsbergen led the Hawks (25-1) with three hits each. Corder Noun Harder, Conner Maston and Blake Van Wyk tallied two hits and Montgomery, Bryce Richards, Caleb Rea, Lucas Sieck, Terran Gosselink, Samuel Philby and Davis Utech all had one hit as the Hawks out-hit the Saints 19-0.
Carson Maston added three runs and three RBIs and Dunsbergen doubled, scored one run and had four RBIs.
Noun Harder doubled, tripled, scored two runs and had two RBIs. He leads the Hawks with 38 runs, 71 total bases, 16 doubles and four triples.
Conner Maston walked once, was hit by one pitch, tallied one RBI and stole two bases. He’s registered a team-best 17 walks, has been hit by a team-most 10 pitches and is batting a team-best .561. Conner Maston also is 22-of-22 in stolen base attempts.
Van Wyk doubled and finished with two runs and two RBIs, Montgomery homered, scored two runs and had two RBIs and Richards tripled, scored three runs, walked twice and had one RBI.
It was Montgomery’s first career varsity home run and Richards now has a team-high 34 RBIs.
Rea doubled, scored one run, walked once, had four RBIs and stole one base, Gosselink scored four runs, stole one base and had one RBI and Sieck scored one run and stole one base.

Utech doubled, Philby, Utech and Landyn Fisk all scored one run and Karter Smead and JD Richards each walked once and had one RBI.
The Hawks used three pitchers to get through four innings.
Conner Maston (7-0) started on the mound and got the win after surrendering no runs on no hits and one walk and he struck out all six batters he faced. He lowered his earned run average to .89 and now has 82 strikeouts in 39 1/3 innings.
Carson Maston tossed 1 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run on no hits, three walks and one hit batter. He struck out three.
Rea was needed for the final out of the game. He struck out one and hit one batter.
