COLFAX — Four players scored in double figures, eight Hawks put in at least three points and the Lynnville-Sully boys’ basketball team downed Colfax-Mingo on Tuesday.
The Hawks recorded their third win in a row overall and posted their sixth straight victory over Colfax-Mingo as a fast start and a dominant second half pushed the visitors to an 86-25 triumph during South Iowa Cedar League action.
The Hawks led 25-2 after one quarter and outscored Colfax-Mingo 40-11 in the second half.
Lynnville-Sully, which is 14-2 over Colfax-Mingo since 2015, got a career-high 18 points and six rebounds from Dawson James off the bench and Preston Rodibaugh chipped in 15 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Mitchell Miller put in 15 points and plucked four boards, Klayton Van Dyke had nine points and four rebounds and Conner Maston finished with eight points, three rebounds, two steals and three assists.
Corder Noun Harder finished with a career-best 12 assists and added three points, two boards and four steals. Lucas Sieck pulled down seven rebounds, swiped two steals and dished out five assists, Keegan DeWitt tallied five points and two boards and Carson Maston registered four points and five boards. Blake Van Wyk delivered two assists.
Jared Lewis led the Tigerhawks (0-19, 0-15) with eight points and two rebounds, Cael Bracewell tallied six points and two boards and Brandon Kite contributed five points and two rebounds.
Kale Wilwerding posted three points, two rebounds and two assists, Harrison Rhone corralled three rebounds and Kaden Dalton delivered two assists.
The Tigerhawks shot 19.5 percent from the floor, connected on 5-of-20 from 3-point range and hit 4-of-10 from the foul line. They also committed 20 turnovers.
