ALLEMAN — PCM’s track and field team competed in the North Polk Coed Comet Invitational on Monday.
But the Mustangs didn’t finish the meet as officials at North Polk called off the meet after the 4x800 relay.
North Polk was leading the team standings for both girls and boys at the time of the cancellation. The Comet girls had 58 points, while Roland-Story (34) and Bondurant-Farrar (32) were in a close race for second. PCM was seventh with 11 points.
Rylee Gallaher collected the only top-five individual finish. She was fifth in the shot put with a throw of 33 feet, 5 inches.

The Mustangs were fourth in the sprint medley relay and fifth in the 4x800 relay.
In the sprint medley, Stella Stravers, Addison Shannon, Ryan Bennett and Lily Bowen finished fourth with a time of 2 minutes, 5.27 seconds.
The 4x800 team of Addison Steenhoek, Riley DeVore, Sophia Steenhoek and Tiffani Koonce placed fifth in 11:39.38.
In the boys standings, North Polk had already piled up 74 points at the time of cancellation. South Hamilton (36) and Bondurant-Farrar (33) were next and PCM was in eighth with 10 points.
The only two top-five placings the Mustangs were able to collect to that point came in the discus and shot put.
Ben Buys was fourth in the discus with a toss of 123 feet, 5 1/2 inches. Caleb Kuefner finished fifth in the shot put with a heave of 40-4.
