PCM volleyball falls to Nevada

Host Cubs sweep Mustangs in HOIC play

NEVADA — PCM’s volleyball team fell to 0-3 in conference play after its three-set loss to Nevada on Thursday night.

The host Cubs defeated the Mustangs 25-19, 25-10, 25-9 during Heart of Iowa Conference play.

Sidney Shaver had six assists and six digs, Chelsea Bird finished with four kills and six digs and Riley Johannes added three kills and four digs in the loss.

The Mustangs (5-11 overall, 0-3 in conference play) were 34-of-39 in serves with Bird going 7-of-7, Johannes serving 6-of-7 and Shaver connecting on all five of her serves.

Claire Wilson tallied four digs, RaeAnn Duinink had two digs and Reese Palm put down two kills.

Nevada improved to 6-9 overall and 1-0 in HOIC matches.
