L-S boys golf finishes fourth at Tiger Tournament

MARENGO — Lynnville-Sully’s boys golf team finished fourth in a six-team field during the Boys Tiger Tournament at Marengo Golf Club on Friday.

The Hawks shot a 213 on the day. Sigourney won the team title with a 183, edging English Valleys (184) by one stroke. HLV shot a 188 in third while the rest of the field included host Iowa Valley (215) and Lone Tree (270).

CJ Nikkel led the Hawks with a 49, while the other counting scores came from Keegan DeWitt (53), Maxwell Mintle (55) and Carsten James (56). Luke Farrell (65) and Luke Kramer (66) had non-counting scores.

English Valleys’ Cole Stephenson won medalist honors with a 37 and HLV’s Ethan Kupka was the runner-up with a 38.
