Area vocalists welcome to join Heartland Singers Community Chorus

Heartland Singers Community Chorus is beginning rehearsals for its Fall/Christmas season from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. Rehearsals are every Tuesday at Oakwood United Methodist Church, 400 NE 56th St., in Pleasant Hill. The group has two concerts scheduled: 3 p.m. Dec. 3 and at 7 p.m. Dec. 11.

Any adult who enjoys singing four-part (SATB) choral music, both sacred and secular, is invited to join the choir. The theme for this season is “Christmas — Home and Away.”

There are no fees and no auditions. The group is directed by former PCM music teacher Dawn Hutchison. For more information on the group visit heartlandsingers.org.
