As the school year comes to a close, traditional honors are handed out for high school students, specifically seniors. The 2021 PCM National Honor Society Induction and Senior Awards Night were held May 12, sharing the newest members of NHS along with awards and scholarships earned by outgoing seniors.
“It has been a true pleasure to work with all of you and get to know you over these past school years,” NHS advisor Samantha Pohl said. “I wish you all the best as you leave PCM and start a new and exciting time in your life.”
Along with the 2021 new members for NHS, 2020 new members were also recognized since their ceremony was canceled due to the pandemic. New 2020 members include: Conner Bennett, Hannah Birkenholtz, Gatlin Boell, Taylor Burg, Allison Burkett, Carson Duinink, Landon Fenton, Emma George, Matthew Rosonke, Kaeden Strum and Abby VanRyswyk. 2021 new members are Aidan Anderson, Delaney Baird, Chelsea Bird, Madalyn Brouwer, Evelyn Burkett, Caleb Duinink, Megan Dustin, Jacob Eslinger, Jaden Fairbanks, Jillina Fairbanks, Conner Heston, Isabelle Hudnut, Viola Humpal, Gracelyn Nickelson, Brooklyn Pettyjohn, Kyle Sanders, Sidney Shaver, Bella Stone, Keaton Thomas, Hanna Townley, Durant VanDyke, Chris VerHeul and Trey Voeller.
Senior Awards Night also honored those outgoing students who earned scholarships and awards during their time at PCM. The list is long and funds large for the seniors, helping in their next steps after PCM.
