Letter to the Editor: Focus on community commitment and innovation

As the newly installed postmaster for Newton, I am honored to serve this incredible community and be a part of your daily lives. The U.S. Postal Service has been a trusted institution for nearly 250 years, and as we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we are as committed as ever to providing exceptional service to you.

This year, USPS is rolling out exciting new products and services aimed at making your mailing and shipping experiences faster, easier and more convenient and affordable. From new P.O. Box offerings to our expanded USPS Connect service for local businesses, we are investing in technology and innovation to meet your evolving needs.

One of our key priorities is continuing to modernize our operations under the Delivering for America plan, which includes upgrading our delivery fleet and streamlining our services to better support you. I am proud to bring this progress to Newton and ensure we uphold our mission to bind the nation together, one delivery at a time.
