Mary Swedlund

Mary Swedlund, 85, Lincoln, NE formerly from Newton, IA died Wednesday, March 12, 2025. A private family graveside was held at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City, IA. Foster Funeral and Cremation was entrusted with serving the family.

Mary Louise Streb, daughter of Elmer A. and Alnora E. (Pilk) Streb, was born April 7, 1939 in Webster City, IA. She graduated from Lincoln high school in Webster City, IA. On June 19, 1958, Mary was united in marriage to Dale R. Swedlund.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Daniel (Angela) Swedlund of Florida and Elizabeth (Andrew) Wood of Lincoln, NE; great-grandchildren, Olver Wood, and Jordan, Dane and Chloe Swedlund.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Dale; daughter, Diana Swedlund and son, Larry Swedlund.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, IA.
