Virginia Lee Larimer

Virginia Lee Larimer

Virginia Lee Larimer entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on her 89th birthday. Virginia would say it was the best birthday gift ever because she was ready to graduate to her heavenly home.

Virginia was born in San Bernardino, California on February 9, 1936, to Helen Garland (Mote) Larimer and Harry Paul Larimer. The family lived for a short time in Russell, Iowa. When she was five, her parents moved the family to Newton. She attended the Newton public schools. She enjoyed a quiet life, living with her mother and stepfather, Harold Talbot.

Virginia will be remembered for her quiet strength, her unwavering faith in God, and for her love of all of God’s creatures, especially cats and dogs.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Harold Talbot; brother Jack Larimer; and a stepsister Roma Lee Harper.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, February 11 at 2:30 p.m. at Palo Alto Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Accura Healthcare of Newton East and dropped off at Pence-Reese Funeral Home.
