B. Nadene Stoulil, 99, of Newton, died Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Newton Healthcare Center. No services are scheduled. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton is handling Nadene’s arrangements.
Nadene, the daughter of William Joseph and Ida Mae (Cline) Shultice, was born August 1, 1925, in Laurel. She grew up in the Newton area and graduated from Newton High School in 1944. Nadene was united in marriage with Robert D. Stoulil on October 14, 1944, in Newton. Nadene worked at Maytag until the couple was blessed with their daughter, Lynn. She and Bob owned and operated The Oasis Motel for several years. She later helped her daughter at Lynn’s Dance Studio and helped with chores around the farm. Nadene and Bob enjoyed square dancing and would frequent dances at the local granges. She loved bowling and was a member of several leagues throughout the years. Nadene also enjoyed collecting antique doll head vases.
Nadene is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Joe) Stoulil Abfalder of Newton; her great-grandson, Dylan Stoulil (Madison Wallace); her great-great-grandchildren, Astrid and Ember; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Bob; her grandson, Brendon Stoulil; and her siblings: Kenneth Shultice, Marjorie Brown, Harriet Webster, Darlene Merz, and Janice Dorman.
