Ernest Everett Wood

Mr. Ernest Everett Wood passed away November 23, 2023, surrounded by his family. Mr. Wood was born on November 17, 1937, in New Boston, Missouri. He was the son of Ernest Earl and Clara Genevieve Wood.

Mr. Wood was a member Villa Rica Community Church in Villa Rica, Ga. He owned Brookwood Inc, a Lenox Dealership for over 62 years in Newton, Iowa. He was a lifelong supporter of the school and community in his hometown of Newton.

Besides his parent, Everett was proceeded in death by his wife Deanna Wood. Survivors include his children, Chris and Bo Eskew of Temple, GA and Mike Wood and Brooke Chambers of Newton, IA; sister, Delores Clem of Omaha, NE and brother, Keith and Karen Wood of Galesburg, IA; grandchildren, Dylan Wood, Austin Wood, Gatlin Chambers, Aniston Chambers, Misty Walker, Chris Reynolds, Mike Eskew and Felecia Simpson; along with sixteen great-grandchildren. He was also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At the request of Mr. Wood, he will be cremated and returned to his hometown in Newton, IA.
