Patricia Ann Williams

Patricia Ann (Bucklin) Williams (84) of Colfax, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial graveside service will be held at Colfax Cemetery on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM. The family will greet friends at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Memorials may be directed to the Howard Street Christian Church.

The daughter of Ralph and Lela (Barbee) Bucklin, Patricia was born on August 26th, 1938, in the back of her dad’s barber shop in St. Anthony, IA. She graduated from Baxter High School in 1956. On June 15th, 1956, she was united in marriage to James Williams in Baxter. Patricia was employed at the Colfax Mingo school from 1973-2000. She retired as a head cook after 27 years. In her younger years she enjoyed cooking big family dinners. She was a Pepsi and chocolate lover, and if you couldn’t find her at a casino, she was home watching Christmas Vacation.

Those left to honor her memory include three children, Darrell and Jani Williams, Diana and Bryon Smith, Danny Williams and Marla Shepley. Six grandchildren, Melissa Porter, Mike and Missy Smith, Josh and Sarah Williams, Jessica Williams, Chesley and Jessica Williams, and Taylor Shepley. Nine great grandchildren, Brooke, Cameron, Baylee, Kali, Cole, Jashawn, Malachi, Emerson, and Melody. One sister-in-law, Elizabeth Gragg, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James, in 2017, her parents, an infant daughter Denise, and her brother Raymond Bucklin.
