John H. Webster

John H. Webster, age 84 of Newton died Thursday, March 23, 2023 At MercyOne Hospice in Newton.

John, was the son of Oscar Charles and Rita Viola (Elliott) Webster was born April 8, 1938.

John served in the Navy, was a Bar Owner in Oklahoma, was a Police Officer, his longest career was a Tool and Die Operator for Maytag.

John loved going fishing, hunting, swap meets, flea markets, he especially loved to cook and feed everyone. He also was a good story teller about his many adventures.

John married the love of his life Becky on December 28,1989 who survives him. John is also survived by a combined family that they shared together; John I. Webster of Newton, Gena Webster of Colfax, Lynisa (Gene) Smith of Newton, Russell (Kelly) Callison of Prairie City, Kelly Taft of Newton, Nate Webster (and partner Jade Miller) of Newton, Judy Webster (sister) of Newton, 16 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, nices and nephews.

John is proceeded in death by his parents, 4 sisters; Mary, Edna, Viola, and Linda, 3 brothers, William, Frank and Eugene.

To honor Johns wishes there will not be a funeral service. His family will be having a Celebration of Life April 1, 2023 at the VFW in Newton Iowa at 12:00PM - Pot Luck Lunch.
