Eben Jr. Van Dusseldorp, age 87 of Colfax, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:30 am at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. Burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the church. The son of Eben and Jennette (Van Der Ban) Van Dusseldorp, Jr. was born on January 1, 1935, at the family home in Colfax. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1953. On September 17, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mary F. Reese in Colfax. Jr. served in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1973. He then entered the US Navy Reserve, retiring in 1995. Jr. was a heavy equipment operator from 1948 - 1953, Owner operator trucking from 1953 - 1956, Manager of truck fleet for Van Dusseldorp Sand & Gravel from 1956 - 1963, Foreman over trucking Rip Rap Job on Red Rock project for J.D. Armstrong of Ames from 1964 - 1964, General Manager Keefner-White Materials for J.C. White Co. of Des Moines from 1965 - 1966, Co-Owner of Van Dusseldorp Sand & Gravel, President from 1966 - 1991, Executive Vice President for Kaser Corp. of Des Moines from 1991 - 1996, Martin Marietta Corp. as a consultant from 1997 - 2000, Owner and President of Van Dusseldorp Consulting Corp. Dredging Operation and Sales in Newton from 1997 - present and John Deere Construction Equipment, consultant from 1998 - present.

Jr. was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church, ZaGa Zig Shrine and Consistery in Des Moines, President of Colfax Alumni, National Aggregate Association Board Member, John Deere Construction Consultant, President of Colfax School Board, American Legion Member, Member of A.G.C. of Iowa, Colfax Fire Department, Colfax Christian Church Board Member and the Iowa Limestone Board Member.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Kenneth (Lori) Van Dusseldorp, Karen Van Dusseldorp, David (Cindy) Van Dusseldorp, Don (DeeAnn) Van Dusseldorp; 11 grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren and a brother, Larry Van Dusseldorp. Preceding Jr in death were his loving wife of 65 years, Mary, his parents and a brother, Melvin.
