Judy Irene (Henning) Norton, 78, of Kellogg, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at her home. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. A celebration of life will be held beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Kellogg Park Shelter House. Memorials to the Kellogg Fire Department may be left at the funeral home.
Judy, the daughter of Carl and Eva (Reynolds) Henning, was born on January 26, 1944 in Kellogg. She graduated from Kellogg High School. For over 40 years, Judy was a bartender and cook at area bars. Later she worked for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office as a jailer for 12 years. Judy liked coloring and loved anything Betty Bop. She also loved sitting at the kitchen table, with a cup of coffee, talking with family and friends.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Teresa Dhondt of Kellogg; step-children, Mike Norton of Newton, Craig Norton of Bonne Lake, Washington, Tina (Scott) McCallum of Paw Paw, Michigan, and Dave (Jeannette) Norton of Illinois; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her sister, Marcia (Jim) White of Grinnell; brother, Virgil (Karen) Henning of Madison, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Calvin Winningham; her step-great-granddaughter, Chelsea Fick; son-in-law, Larry Dhondt; and siblings, Carl “Sonny” Henning, Jerry Henning, Edith Luckey, and Ruth Henning.
