Jaden Shane Rusk

Jaden Shane Rusk, 25, of Happy Valley, Oregon, died on Thursday, February 3, 2022. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Donations may be left in Jaden’s memory through his GoFundMe page, or they may be left in his name (made payable to Lisa Rusk) and left at the funeral home.

Jaden, the son of Brian and Lisa (Isenhower) Rusk, was born on December 6, 1996, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Colfax Mingo High School in 2015. After moving to Oregon, Jaden worked as a mechanic, though he also filled up some time working for DoorDash and for a moving company. In his spare time, Jaden enjoyed a lot of different activities. He was athletic and was great at disc golf, tennis, and skateboarding with ease. He also enjoyed nature and being outside in Oregon, so hiking and river rafting were some of his favorites. Jaden had an obsession with Miatas and had quite the collection of Nerf guns.

Jaden is survived by his parents, Brian and Lisa Rusk of Colfax; brothers, Shadoe Rusk of Altoona and Caleb Rusk of Colfax; paternal grandmother, Merna Rusk of Newton; and aunts and uncles, Randall Rusk of Newton, Tony (Catherine) Rusk of New Mexico, Martha Rusk of Chicago, Ann (Dale) Goodrich of Montezuma, Jon Rusk (Marjeanne Scheff) of Newton, and Lori Isenhower-Ochs of Ankeny. Jaden also leaves behind six cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diane Isenhower; paternal grandfather, Claude Rusk; uncle, Mike Isenhower; aunt, Jeannie Rusk; and great aunt, Judy Mossman.
