Delores Elaine Kendall

Delores Elaine Kendall gained her wings on December 22, 2021 with her family at her side at the age of 86.

She was born February 28, 1935 in Tama, IA to Ed and Ilene Rutledge. She married William “Bill” Kendall on October 24, 1964. They made their home in Reasnor, IA where they lived until they moved to Rockport, TX in 2004.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, potlucks, Bingo, and garage sales. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a proud member of the New Beginnings Church of Rockport.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William “Bill” Kendall, daughter Cyndi Wood, sister Karen Rutledge, brother Ed Rutledge, Jr., adopted son Curtis Templeman, and granddaughter Corey Lewis.

She is survived by sons, Kevin Kendall (Brenda Simon) of Pine Island, MN; Tracy Munger (Tillena) of Kellogg, IA; daughters, Tammy Peters (Joel) of Swea, IA; Missy Holdefer (Tony) of Aransas Pass, TX; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Reasnor, IA.
