Larry Eugene Walker, 75, of Center City, Minn., passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020. He was a 1963 graduate of Monroe High School in Monroe and received his degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University in 1971.

Larry was born March 15, 1945, in Monroe to Forrest “Jack” and Wanda Walker. He has one sister, Janice Cook of Monroe, and two brothers, Jim Walker of Prairie City and Roger Walker of Ellendale, Minn.

Larry married Janet King of Monroe in January 1964. They lived in various locations before settling in Center City, Minn. He and Janet wintered in Harlingen, Texas for the past six years.

For more than 30 years, Larry was a well-regarded engineering management consultant; was an avid collector, auction attendee, fisherman and enjoyed listening to music and playing his harmonica.

Larry and Janet have three children, Brenda (Rusty) Norlander of Dresser, Wis., Wendy (John) Kobe of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Craig (Julie) Walker of Lindstrom, Minn. He is survived by his wife; three children; six grandchildren, Kayla, Kody, Hayley, Joe, Jack and Will; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Kennedy; his siblings; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Dean Cook; and sister-in-law, Barb (Reese) Walker.
