If the audience decides to sing along to the upcoming Beach Boys tribute show hosted by the Jasper County Concert Association, they had better be practicing their falsettos. But even if they can’t reach those high notes, the dudes in Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute most certainly have that covered.
Sail On will be performing 7 p.m. April 14 at the Center for Performance in Newton High School as part of Jasper County Concert Association’s 2024-2025 season. The penultimate season show is open to non-members, who may purchase tickets at the door for $25.
Based in Nashville, Sail On regularly performs more than 100 shows every year. The group plays all of the classic Beach Boys hits, along with some treasures from the band’s extended catalog. Sail On faithfully recreates the timeless songs of surfing, cruising, dancing and dreaming for all ages, harmonies and all.
For ticket and membership information with the Jasper County Concert Association, call 641-521-8735. The final show of the 2024-2025 season will be Jared Freiburg and The Vagabonds on May 14.
Membership in the association is sold for the season of concerts. Three types of memberships are available: adult for $60, student for $15 and family (one or two adults plus children) for $130. This membership allows the member to attend five concerts in Newton, four concerts in Indianola and six concerts in Marshalltown.
To attend Marshalltown concerts requires a one-time payment of $10 per single membership or $20 per family membership.
