The Vernon Company announces the completion of the Vernon Commons, a newly designed 3,500-square-foot space that reimagines the former Vernon Graphics administrative area. This innovative space addresses the company’s evolving workplace needs while offering employees a comfortable and dynamic environment for work breaks, lunch and casual gatherings.
Recognizing the former administrative space was underutilized and the nearly 60-year-old main conference room no longer met modern meeting demands, Vernon embarked on a transformation project. The goal was to create a contemporary space that enhances collaboration and flexibility.
Vernon Commons is now equipped with state-of-the-art modular tables and seating systems that can be easily reconfigured to accommodate a variety of setups, making it the ideal venue for both large and small employee gatherings, client meetings and special events. Unlike the previous main conference room, which required multiple sessions throughout a workday for HR updates and employee training, Vernon Commons can now host up to 120 people comfortably in one setting, significantly improving efficiency and engagement.
“We are extremely pleased with the project’s final results,” Chris Vernon, President and CEO of The Vernon Company, said. “The feedback from our employees has been overwhelmingly positive. They appreciate the bright, modern design, enhanced natural lighting, vibrant colors and overall uplifting atmosphere. Additionally, the new Vernon Café, has quickly become a favorite spot for employees to enjoy.”
Vernon Commons represents Vernon’s commitment to creating a dynamic and inclusive work environment. In a post-pandemic era, where people were separated for health and safety reasons, this space promises to bring the Vernon team together, to create a sense of unity and company pride.
