Tiny Art Fundraiser Silent Auction
Monday, Feb. 24, 5 – 6:30 p.m.
Take home some amazing new art while supporting your library! Join us at the library on Monday, Feb. 24 to place your bids on your favorite miniature masterpiece at this very special fundraiser silent auction. Bidding runs from 5 - 6:30 p.m. and we’ll begin announcing winners at 6:30 p.m. Bidding will start at $3 per canvas. Cash & check accepted. Proceeds of the auction will go towards funding library programs for children, teens, and adults.
March Mystery Bag
Wondering what to read next? Check out our FREE monthly mystery bags for adults! Mystery bags have a different theme every month and contain a surprise selection of 4-5 books and an adult craft. Return the library books when you’re done with them - keep the craft! The March theme is “Pinch-Proof Books!” and includes a surprise selection of some of our staff’s favorite books with green covers! The craft is a miniature book shelf. Registration opens Feb. 24. Gory Stories Book Club

Do you love true crime? Join our monthly Gory Stories Book Club! Bring your lunch and join other true crime addicts to discuss a new book each month and share our favorite books, podcasts and documentaries! Copies of the book can be picked up at the library information desk. The March book selection is “The Girls Who Fought Crime” by Mari K. Eder.
Acrylic Paint-Along Class

Join local artist, Kirsten Warrick for an acrylic paint-along class at the library! Attendees are encouraged to bring an apron, all other materials will be provided. Registration opens Feb. 24. Call the library at 641-792-4108 to register. Ages 18+
Drop-in Junk Journaling with the Centre for Arts & Artists
Monday, March 17, 3 – 5 p.m.
Join the Centre for Arts & Artists and instructor, Sophie Kruger for a drop-in junk journaling crafting afternoon! Crafters of all ages are welcome to pop in and decorate their own junk journals. All supplies will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring along their own magazines or scrapbook materials, if they like. This event is open to all ages and children are welcome to attend with a parent or caregiver.
Blues Under the Blue Roof: Dewey Cantrell

Dewey Cantrell performs at Blues Under the Blue Roof! Check out a new live blues music performance every month, all winter long! This event is held in the library meeting room and is free to attend. All ages welcome. This concert series is made possible by the South Skunk Blues Society, The Arts Connection, and the Newton Public Library Foundation.
