Knights donate to special education

The Knights of Columbus Council 2663 donated $1,424 to the Newton Community School District’s Special Education Department Oct. 14 at the Newton School Board meeting.

Annually, the Knights host a fundraising event to raise funds for the special education department and for Iowa Special Olympics. Of the funds raised, 90 percent goes to Newton School’s Special Education Department and 10 percent goes to the Iowa Special Olympics.
