South Dakota State University

BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State University announces Karlyn Cierra Snider of Rhodes, graduated following the spring 2024 semester. Snider graduated with a Bachelor of Science in SDSU’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.

Washington University

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Maya Phelps of Mingo, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Phelps is enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences. To qualify for the Dean’s List in the College of Arts & Sciences, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 14 graded units.

Drake University

DES MOINES — The following local students have been named to the deans’ and president’s lists at Drake University: Megan Deal of Colfax, dean’s list; Riley DeVore of Monroe, president’s list; Kinzi Van Wyk of Monroe, president’s list; Matthew Forck of Newton, dean’s list; Rylee Heryford of Newton, dean’s list.

To be eligible for the deans’ list, students must have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must have earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Simpson College

INDIANOLA — Simpson College announced Adria Fullerton of Maxwell and Elie Tuhn of Baxter were named to the president’s list for the Spring 2024 semester. Students named to the president’s list achieved a 4.00 grade point average.

Of the 204 students who were named the dean’s list for the Spring 2024 semester, local residents included were Holly Bailey of Colfax, Joseph Butcher of Collins, Jeri Eisbrenner of Colfax, Abby Jennings of Newton, Zach Steenhoek of Colfax, Kenzie Van Haaften of Otley, Celeste Wagaman of Monroe. Students named to the dean’s list achieved a grade point average between 3.70 and 3.99.

Wartburg College

WAVERLY — Wartburg College awarded diplomas to 211 students during its Spring commencement. Faith Howard of Prairie City, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music Education in music education.

Montrose School

MEDFIELD, Mass. — Madison Li of Newton graduated from Montrose School in Medfield, Mass. Madison received high honors, is a member of the National Honors Society, co-Consul of Junior Classical League and received the AP Chemistry Award. She will attend Cornell University in the fall.

Cedarville University

CEDARVILLE, OH — Jason Stafford of Prairie City, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Lang Arts Education-Integrated and Peter Larson of Newton, earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Cyber Operation from Cedarville University.

Palmer College of Chiropractic
