The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a program designed to encourage daily reading with children from birth. Research shows that sharing books and conversations with children builds language skills. Sharing books together contributes to the child’s healthy development, by encouraging parent/child bonding, and providing the skills children will need to be successful in school.
