Woodrow Wilson PTA warms up to Open Arms Foundation

Woodrow Wilson Elementary staff, students and PTA families made tie-blankets to donate to Open Arms, a mission supporting vulnerable children and families within Jasper County.

Woodrow Wilson Elementary PTA families and staff gathered together to make tie-blankets to donate to Open Arms. The PTA chose this cause as they felt the children would connect with it. When dropping off the blankets to Open Arms, Nicholas Pietrack, founder and executive director of Open Arms, showed the children the supplies they have for incoming children, including the backpacks filled with essential items. These blankets would be added to them.

Open Arms mission is to provide immediate and meaningful support to vulnerable children and families within Jasper County. Their dedicated efforts seek to offer comfort and support during critical moments, fortify foster families and turn dreams into reality for at-risk children.
