Jerney Shores, an employee of the Newton Maid-Rite, created a Christmas scene of downtown Newton on the restaurant’s chalkboard. In addition to showing off Santa and his reindeer flying over the Jasper County Courthouse, the artwork also features downtown shops and the Newton Public Library in the distance.
