Newton attorneys Randal Caldwell and Antonia Sicilia are co-authors of a recently released book for attorneys on Iowa Estate Planning. The publishers, Matthew Bender & Co., describe the book, Iowa Estate Planning, Will Drafting and Estate Administration with Forms as an indispensable text for newcomers to the field as well as for experienced practitioners.
This new treatise describes the basics of planning and discusses estate planning and estate and trust administration in detail. Advanced directives are included, such as powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney and living wills.
Attorney ethics, tax issues, digital assets, and elder law issues including Medicaid and estate recovery are also detailed. The volume contains an Appendix of 14 key forms including alternate and optional clauses, as well as drafting notes to guide the user.
The 650-page one volume title was a project that took the authors 14 months to complete. Caldwell and Sicilia are attorneys with the firm of Caldwell & Brierly, located in Newton.
