Thirteen-year-old Hannah Bennett of Prairie City, and her dad Eric Bennett of Reasnor, recently competed in the Iowa Games and both took home gold in archery.
Hannah, who started shooting in October of 2022, is coached by her father and is currently ranked the NFAA State Indoor Champion in Youth Female Bowhunter Freestyle class. She is also ranked fourth in the entire Midwest. She has competed in a dozen tournaments since she started shooting last October. Following in her father’s footsteps, Hannah is quite the up-and-coming archer.
Eric was a 3-time state champion when he was Hannah’s age. They love to practice at the range and have friendly competitions at times. Eric has even made her some new arrows.
